CURRICULUM VITAE

Rev. Frederick W. Rogers

          Mr. Rogers was born in Boston Massachusetts March 12, 1944. He lived with his parents and sister in Quincy, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Thayer Academy in Braintree, Massachusetts. He attended Milligan College in Johnson City, Tennessee for three years. He transferred to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969. He did his seminary training at Andover Newton Theological School in Newton  Massachusetts graduating with Master of Divinity in 1972. Ordained into the United Church of Christ in 1972, he has served as Pastor and Teacher of churches in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He also spent some time as a Nationally Certified Paramedic working in urban New Jersey. Most recently he has been serving as Interim Minister in churches in Pennsylvania, the most recent of which was at Emmanuel UCC in Mountain Top. Fred has been active in his denomination at all levels. He has served on the New Jersey Association Board of Directors, Christian Education and Youth Committee and its Nominating Committee. He was active in the Central Atlantic Conference UCC having served as a General Synod Delegate twice at four General Synods before moving to Pennsylvania. He holds dual standing with the PCUSA via "The Formula of Agreement"

          He married his wife Carol in 1967 and has been happily married ever since. Carol is a teacher. They have three children and four grandchildren. They resided in Wind Gap, PA until their move to Summit Hill in May.  Interests include Habitat for Humanity, reading, camping and hiking, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, as well as the Internet. He accepted a call to serve The First Presbyterian Church of Panther Valley on April 2, 2006.
