"Looking forward to new Ministry and Mission."
Hope Of Christ Presbyterian Church

Sunday Morning Worship has been changed from 10:15 to 10:30. Our Worship is traditional and we hope to be able to blend some contemporay music into our services. We use the Common Lectionary to decide what Scripture will be offered. We also depend upon lay leadership during the service as well. We are open to new styles of worship.

Our Sr. choir is led by David Perkins. They sing each Sunday. All are welcome to sing in our choir. We have been discussing establshing a youth choir and a Handbell choir Their voices praise God mightily and the congregation praises God in song along with them. We have been asked if   our choir is a professional choir. The answer is no but they certainly sound as if they are!

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is offered regularly during the Sunday morning Worship service on the first Sunday of each month begining at 10:30.

During the church year we offer special services that reflect the special church holidays within the church year. We offer services in Advent, Christmas Eve, Christmas. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and there is a service on that night. Special Services of worship take place on Maundy Thursday (This year we will celebrate a Tenebrae Service on Maundy Thursday at 7:00 p.m.), Good Friday, Palm Sunday and Easter. Pentecost Sunday is a special Sunday for us as we celebrate the birthday of the Christian Church (we wear the Liturgical color red that day to tell the world that we are disciples of Jesus Christ.) Pentecost is also the day when young people are confirmed.

Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church will hold a Tenebrae Service of the Shadows on Maundy Thursday Evening at 7:00 PM. Holy Communion will be celebrated.Readings of Jesus' Passion will be read as candles which represent the disciples will be extinguixshed by our Elders.

Please come and join us. You would be welcome!

The "Gathering" (the local Ministerium) will be celebrating an ecumenical service of the Stations of the Cross at 11:00 Am at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church.

St. Paul's Lutheran Church will host a Vigil Service on Holy Saturday Evening. Pastors from the "Gathering" will join in the celebration. This service is also open to the community.

We celebrate Jesus Resurrection on Easter Sunday at two services.

There will be an early Sunrise Service at 6:30 AM and our Regular Easter Celebration at 10:30 AM.

Following the Sunrise Service folks are invited to fellowship together with "coffee and"  in  in Fellowship Hall.
